Silk itself will not felt. It needs wool fibres to felt together, the silk is contained within those fibres. Scarves here are based upon very light weight silk chiffon, with additions of wool fibres to decorate them.

OK, no silk here, this is pure wool in a lattice design with big holes. Don't be fooled by those holes - this is very warm. Extremely soft and yummy, in rich pink and blue dyes. Great fun.
